Man that was a Sweet Ride and a 440-6 4spd is better than a Clone but that **** cost a lot of dough to put together and even 30 to 40 cents on a dollar that car should of sold for a lot more. Another thing man you sure are a Smart Dude and i enjoy all of your comments you seem to Hit-it-Right-on with things.

That auction was not like yours at all.  Please read the top of the ebay listing you posted... The Auction was not completed because the seller ended it early.  Most likely sold the car to someone for a price not disclosed.  The auction was live for a little over 1.5 days.

If you think you're giving your car away by selling it for less than $32,999, then please keep it!  It's your car, do whatever you want.   Having bought a few of these cars over the last few years and studying the market for the last 7 years it's my opinion that it's not realistic to expect someone to pay you $33K for that project anytime soon.  That's not to say the market will not change, however if you are able to sell it on ebay for that much anytime soon, PLEASE post the link and I will gladly admit I was wrong with my assessment of the value.

Really and do think this guy should do the same and give his car away

Thanks.  The auction posted by GrandCuda is a good one to watch.  I believe your car is in better condition.  You car may bring a little more at auction.  If you do decide to auction it again, put the intake back on and try to show the car as complete as possible.   I would post some underneath shots. People want to see the bottom of these cars.  They are notorious for frame rust.  Show the rear frames from over the axle to the spring perches.

Not my intentions to come across harshly.  Like I said before, you have a very nice car.  If you can keep it and restore the car to level that it deserves you will have one of the nicest muscle cars ever made.  If you need money, I would say best to sell instead of restore because restorations can quickly get expensive.  If you have to sell now, you might not get as much as you could have in the past.  Tough market along with a few items that are missing that could help the value to the numbers guys that pay top dollar.  Good luck with either direction you take it and please stick around.  You'll find the guys here are a big help.  :2thumbs:

Many of the Big Block warranty engines will have WT stamped on the area where the build information is usually.  You would also see a blue silk screened aluminum tag attached to the engine on the right side near the water plugs that has 4 numbers stamped in to it.  I'll try to post photos if I come across them.

My car has a 71 or older Steering Col or do you mean a different steering wheel.  and the Dash is from a 72 or older. Really. Do you care to Explain, Please. What does a Plaque look like on a replacement warranty block and were did they put them.

No one hit the buy it now at $21,500, but the seller ended it early when the bidding stalled out at $17,599.  My guess is he sold it for a value between those numbers.  Will be a cool car when it gets done.

On the Block Vin Pad are you talking about the Machining Marks that look like it was cut From left to right? and with it being a 7-25-69 block does it make it correct as a warranty block.

It might be hard to see the actual casting date, but could it be a 9 instead of a 7?

If you have some time, take a close look at the block, just above the flat, machined pad. Sometimes, there are numbers stamped into the block. Just above the raised pad where they normally are stamped. If it is an actual warranty block, there probably will not be any numbers there. Here is a picture of a service block Blue metal tag.

I don't know man. I do remember it did have the 71 tail lights and I changed them out to the 70 ones.

There's a lot of things that don't add up on that car.  Do you know why the steering column was changed to a 71+?  Also, isn't half that rallye dash from a 72+ because it has the washer picture?

Here ya go and tell me what you guys think also did they ever stamp the rear ends? because I agree most if not all 6pac & Hemi cars came with a Dana or I think its called the Trac-pac. This babbys got the Quick-change Banjo that I love. Ever try changing the ring & pinion on a Dana in 30 mins.
...............I'd still like to see the warranty block replacment medalion, if ya got and don't mind posting it

Here is another idea: Perhaps it was a theft recovery before you purchased it in the 80s?
Makes sense. Replacment engine, automatic transmission, 8 3/4 rear axle, 1971-74 steering column, late Rallye switch cluster, 1971 rear tail lights, perhaps more?
