Thanks guys, yes atco just reopened for test and tune. As far as what i was racing against anything that pulled up next to me. I did run my dad a few times in his chevelle but he would only get on it 3/4 throttle threw first and 2nd gear  and coast threw the lights and still beat me by almost a second  His car is real quick.  As far as my convertor the stall will be differnt behind different combos and motors. ON my particullay combo it stalls to about 3k.  I was only launching the car about 1,500 that shows in my 60fts...

Well, Looking over everythign today and find # 4 spark plug wired melted.. Then i start checking all of them and they are all good but i notice # 2 cylinder spark plug is backed all the way out and hanging by 2 threads!!!!!!!!! Fixed everything and took her for a ride and shes got a lot more nuts. Cant wait to run it again at the  track and see what it does on all 8 cylinders!!!  :burnout:

You know stall, say if your stall converter is 3,000rpm does that mean with your foot on the brake and pushing the go pedelk that your car won't start to move until 3,000rpm? When you said you leave at about 1,500rpm is that good or bad for your 60ft?

Thanks curious and wanting to learn.  8) :grinyes: :driving:

Yes if someone says the convertor stalled say 3200 behind their combo, that means you can footbrake the car to 3200 before it starts pushing though the brakes. i was only launching at about 1500 beacuse i was spinning so bad. If the track was tacky i could foot brake it around 3,000 rpm and leave the line harder which would bring down my 60ft times.

more rpms on launch  = more power , more power = faster run if you hock up.  But if you put a 5000 stall in a street car you will have problems as the thread in go fast goodies.

I see so I had it right.  ;D
Must be hard with 3,000rpm+ because of all that power traction must be minimal. Unless you have a really good set up.

Thanks.

Well...Just because it says it stalls at 3000 doesn't mean it locks up at 3000..i've heard where it could lock up around 3000..
