Quarter window problem
« on: August 29, 2011 - 06:21:48 PM »
I have a lot of play in my quarter windows. Is this typical of worn guides? Or are there other problems that causes this? I'm looking to purchase the guide kit from Roseville but wanted to make sure that was my problem.  Thanks,  Matt

You need to pull the panel & take a look , it could be bad nylon parts these often fail , sliders etc

I was afraid of that, my luck it will be both. Do you know if Roseville sells those also? Thanks a lot for the input.   Matt

I wrapped 14 gauge insulated electrical wire around the back side of the square plastic blocks so the block was more snug against the metal guide/channel.  I also shimmed all the slop at the other locations where the glass frame meets the window channel.  This all helped alot, and cost was low as no new parts where required.

Did you happen to take any pics? I'd like to see what you did. There they are never mind!    :2thumbs:  Thanks,  Matt
