cuda paint codes

I'm looking at a cuda on ebay that is billed as being "sublime"  Where do they put the paint code? Is it on the fender tag on a 1973? One code I can't seem to find is EN2. It is on the tag.

"Sublime" is code FJ5 (J5) and is also known as "Limelight" and originally was only available in 1970 as far as I know.

The color code should be in left-most column, second row from the bottom.  In this example, the car is painted FC7 (C7), "In-voilet" aka "Plum Crazy"

My information says EN2 identifies the end of codes and is not an option.

Thanks for the info. Think the paint code on this one is actually "Y6", a part of a JY6 code the seller gave me which is golden haze irid. Apart from the color change & no more vinyl top, the car appears to match the fender tag straight up. If I get in this cuda thing I think the car needs to be as close to original as possible to be considered as an investment, am I right? It is on ebay (naturally) as a 1973 sublime 340 auto sublime if you care to see it. Thanks!

Yeah, it looks like it was gold with a black vinyl top.  Car looks to be in very good condition overall.   :thumbs:

It's rare to find a rustfree driver quality car (if the seller is truthful).  Are you close enough to view the car in person?

No reason you couldn't drive and enjoy the car like it is.   :driving:  You can always return the car to the original color later if you choose.
Any e-body can be an investment as they aren't making any more of them, but it's all in the eye of the beholder.
If you like it and can afford it, go for it!

Thanks for your input! The car is about 250 miles from here so I guess it could be a road trip.

Being only 250 miles away, I would say it is definately worth the trip.  Pictures never describe the vehicle like seeing it in person.  Also, the person selling the car only shows you what he wants you to see.  Check this post about a car I was looking at: http://www.cuda-challenger.com/smf/index.php?topic=10611.0

Thanks for the valuable story. What bothers me about the sublime is there are no pix of the underside & when asked the seller hasn't offered any; guess he thinks he can get his reserve without any leg work. If indeed it is as rust-free as he says, I would be posting pix of all the potential trouble areas. There seems to be 2 hot bidders on it at $15100 latest. It's always best to show the warts up front for an honest transaction. Anyone in the Dallas/Denton area?

To be honest, I would not expect it to be "rust free".  I'm sure it's a very nice driver, but expect to find some things that need repair.
