you said your cuda is a 71, but i see it has the single headlight system on each side, not the duel. and the color looks like fk5 dark burnt orange witch i believe is a 1970 only color. what are the first 5 digits of your VIN. do you have the fender tag or anything of a build sheet. :dunno:

So this car was sourced in South Africa its an old export car from the 80's
Then was a a parts car and eventually rescued to bring her back to life
Going to need to get alot of import parts and good prices

With the current exchange rate I need to be very careful on what I buy
I am basically paying 3time the USD price

I would really like to get OEM used parts but i know thats like hens teeth too

Hence me joining the forumn for advice and input and sources

Do you have an inventory on what you need?

We have alot of members here from Austrailia is the same situation you're in...High shipping costs.
Perhaps some of them can chime in on what they do or have done ideas.

I think it's a matter of buying alot all at once and doing a ride share/piggy back in a container thru a shipping company to help keep the shipping costs lower. worth investigating at least.

Thanks for all the input guys
With regards to the single headlights I was given the set and put them in as a mockup
I originally one had the shell got my hands on a set of OEM fenders and some other sods

So yeah there are some mismatches but beggars can't be choosers

On the parts list I am still working through that however the plan is firm on the resto mod idea

I just need to finish my other 2 projects first
I am busy with a 56 F100 with a coyote motor and custom chassis

Then also a 69 RS Camaro Covertible full chassis AWD and a Audi V10 motor and tranny
