« on: September 13, 2011 - 01:46:41 PM »
from the grooves and hole in the plate, looks as if there is a spring that goes on this shift rod under the console, I cant see any such beast in my old pics but it looks as if there is one in the service manual.    :dunno:  Does some type of grommet go there as well to hold the spring end?    If so where can i fu=ind such a thing as i dont have any in all of my parts bags   :(  help

the way the sprng is made it has hooked ends that hold it into the grooves with the spring pressure , not sure who re-pops those
