Yes, you cant go wrong doing it like Chryco. I emailed one of the guage guys about the repro guage sticker installation and he explained that he would mark where the guage zeroed out at, then CAREFULLY dremel cut the old needle from the base then rebond it after the decal was installed.

If your speedo face is weathered, you may want to buy one of the decal kits and reface the guage before you install the needle

Let us know how it goes

Hey dude, if your speedometer needle is broke on your challenger, replaceing the needle isn't the solution.  I learned lately that the speedometer needs rebuilt.  Real technical and I don't understand it all, but I believe it.  Sorry to bring the bad news.  Mine is broke also.  Saving my $ up!

I also had a broken needle.  Sometimes you can just replace the needle, but typically the real problem is the plastic bushing in the tail shaft (part where speedo cable goes in) is worn out.  This causes the needle to shake and eventually breaks it.

I learned all this the hard way, crappy vendor replaced needle, said everything was fine.  It broke almost immediately.  Had to have bushing repaired and 2nd new needle done at another place, $200!
