Hi from Camptown PA
« on: September 28, 2011 - 08:54:31 PM »
I was registered on this site a couple of years ago as petediver working on a 74 Challenger.  I'm still working on it. It was a real rust bucket.  I replaced the inner fender panels, right front fender, entire floor section, both quarters, trunk floor, trunk surround, taillight panel, trunk lid, outer wheel wells, and rear frame sections.  I thin repaired the top, both doors and the left fender.   It has a 5.7 liter hemi and 5speed auto trans from a 2005 ram 1500 truck in it.  I took a couple of years off to play with a 1960 Dodge Dart Phoenix convertible I acquired.  In the meantime I switched internet providers and email address and forgot my password - so I just reregistered.  I'm back working on the Challenger now.  It will be painted  a dodge 2002 color called amber fire mist.  The engine compartment is painted, the hemi and trans are in place, the engine runs and the trans turns the wheels, the undercarriage, suspension, and brakes are done.  The seats are upholstered, most of the floor has sound deadening material installed.  I made a instrument panel with auto meter gauges for it.  I'm currently making a custom console for it and am considering putting in power windows.  I'm also trying to finish up the body work.   I was hoping to paint it by the end of this summer - don't think I'll make it.  This is a good site, I'm glad to be back.
