Help with nomenclature
« on: September 27, 2011 - 07:25:02 PM »
Can somebody help me with the proper name for a body piece? It is the piece that is under the front of  the passenger side fender that is directly behind the headlight, it looks like it bolts up to the radiator support. I need to get a replacement and can't find any good diagrams.

i know......

go to ebay, put in challenger splash shield, or mopar, whatever, and look at the pics to see if that is what you want...

What about this one?

This is for a 71 barracuda.

What is yours from Matt?

Thanks for the help guys. I will try and get a pic uploaded tomorrow. Upon closer inspection it is actually two pieces. the first piece is bolted directly to the upper radiator support and the second piece is attatched to it kinf of like an "ear"and sits directly behind the headlight. I can see the headlight screw coming through it. Both of them are metal...and for a '72 Barracuda. I need to bend it back or replace it because it is causing my fender to pinch in and slightly down...makes my car look like it's winking at me.....

Sounds to me like your asking if that panel behind the headlight that does bolt to the rad. support is seperate and it is only available when you buy a complete fender...

You are right cooter. I thought the peice connected to the radiator support could be bought by itself. That explains me not finding it. hopefully it can be salvaged. The damage is to the under side.  other than that, it is good to go...although i am sure I will get a surprise or two when I pull it off.
