I am building a 1991 360  with edelbrock magnum heads. my question is, would it be a great benefit to run a roller lifter?I am just learning that this year block can do roller, as I already bought comp hyd. lifters non roller.my cam is a 484 lift comp cams.also do i use a mag or la head gasket?

You need a cam that is ground for roller lifters if you want to run roller lifters.

Your lifters are non-roller, and the cam needs to match the lifters.  Is your cam non-roller type also?  If your engine block is the newer style that accepts roller cams you could run a roller cam/lifters or flat tappet setup.  The roller setup will cost more.  You will need pushrods that are hollow like a straw to allow oiling thru the pushrods to the rocker arms.
Head gaskets:  I used the older "LA" style head gaskets for my 360 magnum engine.  The newer magnum head gaskets help support the pushrods, that is the main difference.  With careful engine assembly you don't need the gasket supporting the pushrods.  Hope this helps.

smith bros in bend Oregon can  make a set of pushrods usually shipped the next day
 You can go to a roller cam for streetable driving but it is not cheap to do , you will need cam lifters again or get a set of roller lifters from the wrecker , they run $35 each new + you should have adjustable rockerarms .
 Head gasket may need to be matched to the heads , if they match with the block you need LA gaskets .

Yes , i have non roller cam. My biggest question is that if I switch to a roller set-up will I be pissing away a bunch of cash for little benefit? Seems like roller really helps wear on cam lobes or enables a steeper lobe. As I am mild on lift ,I really am wondering if It would be worth switching since I just bought non-roller cam and lifters.  Thanks for your feedback!

I am sure it would make better power then most flat tappet hyd cams ,& you do not run the risk of wiping out a lobe on the cam . Both are true , less cam wear & faster lobe / valve opening .
 Your call on spending the $$ . My machinist used a new Lunati Voodoo street hyd roller grind in his 340 & is ecstatic with both the power & milage obtained it is not listed in the Catalog yet so you would have to call & talk to Jeff about it
