Buying a new Spectra gas tank from Rock Auto for my 73 challenger, item #CR8D. The item description doesn't mention the outlet opening for the fuel sending unit. They have a 3/8" and 5/16" sending unit available, do you know which one will fit?

Your car came equipped with a 5/16 sending unit. Either size will fit in the new tank. A sending unit is usually not included with the new tank.

Make sure you hang on to the retainer ring when you take out the old sending unit. I have had leaking problems with the repro ones and they went away as soon as I used the OEM retaining ring.
