INPUT PLEASE!!!

I was sand blasting in the engine bay and got to the cowl panel..and notice surface rust between the cowl and the firewall..so my question is what are you guys doing about the area? i know i could cut the inner fenders out and the cowl panel and sandblast then treat..so whats my options on this..thx

depends on the rust,,I didnt want to cut my cowl my out and there was alot of surface rust,,I cleaned  and sandblasted   what I could and used a heavy coat of por-15 to seal the area, of course I had the interior completely out and was able to access some from the inside were the vents were mounted
