So, I am pretty hot right now. I own a 77 dodge ramcharger. It is an original 440 with AC.
No rust what so ever on the entire vehicle.
A local from my neighboring town who happens to be a car flipper came by to ask what I wanted for the ramcharger.
I told him 900.00. I have about 2500.00 into it to get it here and purchase it.
He gave me a 400.00 deposit so he wouldn't loose the truck.
I had to remove all my ramcharger parts and dodge parts from the truck.
Put them all in my garage. Made it so I couldn't even pull a vehicle in for repairs if need be.
Towed out three vehicles to get this truck out from storage.
So I tell him to come over and pick it up and bring the remainder of the money.
He says he only agreed to the 400.00.
I have known several flippers over the years and this guy was trying to pull a con on me.
Seen this one before, just never got caught in one like this.
he figured he could just get me to give the truck up for the 4 bills since I had gone through so much trouble and it was out and ready.
well, I had him come over to get his refund as I was not going to do give in to his con.
Matter of a fact, I was flat out pissed.
I told him I should punch him in his face and take his money for trying to con me.
I usually am not an aggressive person in this way, but I absolutely hate being conned.
he absolutely refused in getting his ars kicked.
Apologized and apologized. I don't feel they were sincere.
Said he could get a ramcharger like this for 900 any day of the week.
So, after calling him out, and him trying repeatedly to get me to give him the money, I gave him his money back.
I am a man of my word. I said I would refund the money if the need be, and I did.
I feel as if a man is nothing more than his word.
We agreed and he broke the agreement.
Deserving in a good punch in the mouth for lying.
I have been coned so much in the automotive hobby.
There are so many other hobbies that I enjoy and never have I been so mistreated in any of them.
Seems there are alot of car "enthusiasts" that like to get the upper hand.
Some days I just want to give it all up. Cars that is.
Ok, rant over. Back to moving parts back into the truck in the snow.
