100 point E body

Has an E body ever scored 100 points? I would like to see pics of the most correctly restored E body out there. I think they start a car with 100 points and take them away for cars that are not correct.

In regards to points..........Is there a common form that is used in judging cars....??   Could someone post up one..............Not to hijack the thread but this would give all of us something to shoot for also...... :working:

Dave's white 70 Challenger is probably the best example of a correctly restored ebody that I've seen.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

the judges guide book is available. It's about 2" thick and a great amount of information.  I can post a link once I get back home.

There are two main judging bodies in the Mopar world.  The first is the group that judges at Chryslers at Carlisle.  You can find out more about them at this link. www.iccahome.org  The second group is the team that judges at the Mopar Nationals.

I believe every car(body style) has a different number of points possible.  Those points add up to a lot more then 100.  In the case of Dave Walden's 70 Challenger that won gold at the 2008 Mopar Nats...the car scored 2779.5 points out of a possible 2801.  If I'm mistaken about this please correct me but the way I understand it is that every part is judged twice.  Once for originality and once for condition.  That means any reproduction part automatically loses half the possible points.( 0 points are give for a reproduction part)

There was a pink Challenger that won OE gold at Carlisle a couple years ago but I don't have any info on it.  As far as the Mopar Nats is concerned I know of 3 good examples.  Two of which were done by the same group of people.  The first two links are of the highest scoring E-bodies at the Mopar Nats.

Cool! Thanks for the info. I always like to see the cars that have all the factory tags just like they would have looked in the show room. My Dad worked at the St. Louis Chrysler plant from 1959-1991 They built B and A bodies. He remembers seeing racks of hemi engines. Could you imagine?????

I couldn't read that whole thread, but it looked like the only "lost" 30 points out of 3000 on that car.
Truly amazing, anyone know why 30 pts were deducted?

Your talking about the white Challenger right?  Towards the end of that thread, Dave posted the judging sheet.  It scored 2779.5 point out of a possible 2801.

The points lost were basically 1/4 points for condition of some parts.  There was a tear in one of the plug boots and a scratch in one piece of trim.  The battery wasn't an assembly line part.  Points were taken off for a reproduction VIN sticker.  I believe the carpet was also reproduction.  The car also lost points for having a coat of oil on all the bare metal parts.   ECS developed RPM for that reason.  All the bare metal parts on their next car were treated with RPM instead of being coated with oil.

I'm a regular car show judge of many categories and classes and I do NOT use the points system nor do I like it.    Depends on my mood and what tickles my fancy at that moment that gets the trophies ;).

It would be tough to say a car is 100% correct. Sometimes they used what they had the day of assymbley. Maybe some parts changed half way through the year. Who knows. I guess they use a set of standards. I saw a 69 4 door valiant that won gold. I think he spent $100,000 on the restoration.

"A half inch split in the #1 spark plug wire boot, some imperfections in the interior driver door reflector, service NOS issue wiper arm blades (instead of factory) and oil that was on the natural metal parts."
