:swaying: hm,there should be thin steel rods coming out of the vents on both ds and ps,  that you pull or push to open or close the side vents.at least on my -70.

on non a/c cars theres push/pull levers to activate the vents but none that i've seen on this a/c unit..only a vacuum pod on the door..i rebuilt the unit and installed it not realizing theres nothing specific to open it :clueless:

This is related closely enough to my current question. I converted my non-ac car to ac. I put in the drivers side vent that was original and it's now in the way of the a/c duct. So my question is, what is in the vent location on an AC car?

My 70 has factory A/C and no vents

i rebuilt the box myself,,on the passenger side there is the one vent only on an a/c unit directed into the passenger cowl,,it is a large flapper hooked to a vacuum pod to activate,,allowing air to come in thru the cowl like any other vent..no cables.

i guess i'll just have to test it after winter on some back roads with the a/c buttons?? :clueless:,,to be continued,,thanks
