Anyone have pic of where speedo cable clips to body?

Not the welded on clip under drivers floor, but the loose rubber-coated clip that attaches somewhere on the frame rail.

If no picture, good description of where it goes... ?

My 73 doesn't have a welded clip on the floorpan like earlier years.  It didn't use a loose rubber coated clip either.  The speedo cable on my car had one of those clear/white wiring harness straps on it.  It hooked into a hole in a little bracket that is welded between the floorpan and the frame rail.   I can take a picture of it if you want one.  The original "yellowed" strap is still on the cable for the time being.(I never took it off)  I'll replace it with a new one once the engine is in.

I'll take a look under mine and see if I can find the bracket you mentioned. Shouldn't be too tough to spot and I think I actually have one of those white straps around somewhere...

I'll give you a shout if I can't find it. :-)
