New guy from Buffalo
« on: December 29, 2011 - 11:37:16 AM »
Just wanted to say Hi to everyone. I'm new to this forum but not new to the Mopar hobby. I have a 70 big block Gran Coupe that I restored about 15 years ago. It's won many time first place in my class awards at local shows. I've been modifying it a little at a time to try and bring it up to more modern tastes. I'll try to post some pics soon. I'm sure I'll get a lot of helpful info from the forum and hopefully help some of you guys out.

Nice Car.

Sounds like you owned it a long time.
Story on it? How you found it?  What it was originally?
Tags? Build sheet?

I've had it since '96. I came across it while looking for another '70 Roadrunner like the one I had in '72. I bought it as two cars, a '70 Gran Coupe and a '74 Barracuda I used as a parts car. I took the car completely apart and started over. Every nut and bolt. It started out as a 383 automatic but now has a modified 440 from a '70 Charger and a 4 speed tranny from a '72 Roadrunner. When I first did the car I took all the Gran Coupe  badges off and used Cuda badges. But I have since seen the light and this spring I'm makes a lot of changes to bring it up to a more modern look, including going back to all the Gran Coupe stuff. The build sheet was still in the car and the 383 is original but like I tell people when they ask if it's all original "well, all the parts were originally off some car"
