Clint Eastwood's Chrysler commercial
« on: February 05, 2012 - 11:27:18 PM »
This aired during the Super Bowl. One of the best commercials I have seen in a while. Clint is one of my hero's and one of the few wise ones out there in Hollywood...plus its Chrysler. Just an awesome message.

I wonder if he's into politics.  Imagine "Governor Eastwood" or  "President Eastwood"?  :grinyes:

He ran for mayor in his small town of Carmel California a few years back in order to get a small business in that the govt. wouldn't allow and won. I remember Reagan awarded him something (now there are two American legends and heroes  :ylsuper:). I recently read too where they asked him what he gave his wife when they were married and he said he paid off all her debt because that was one thing he couldn't stand haha. I'm just trying to figure out why he went from a Gran Torino to Chrysler products  ;)  :burnout:

Thanks for the info!

Yeah, when I saw that commercial I thought of Gran Torino.  In both he was sort of representing the plight of the average guy, the American worker sort thing, auto industry.  He's up there with John Wayne and apple pie, IMO...

It's halftime America, and in the second half they will hear our engines ROAR!!! (pan to 2012 Challenger)

gave me goosebumps.

Clint Eastwood was perfect for it too, gotta respect someone who is that old and still such a bad ass.

And its true too, I think the next 5-10 will define our country for good or for bad. Lets hope and pray its a turnaround and not more of the same.
