I'm think about dropping the bucks for a 6 speed, I have a 727 now. How would the 6 speed shifter work on my 3 speed console?
What's a good 6 speed?

Clean looking car.

Why do you "need" 6 gears?  Sure would be nice to have but a lot of work/tunnel/crossmember hacking to fit one in.  The upcoming Passon 5-speed will require NO Hacking whatsoever.

Major work to get a 6 speed in.  There are a couple threads about it.  Persoanlly I would wait until either the Passon 5 speed comes out, or if you can handle some minor tunnel work, the Kiesler 5 speed.

Sorry, the post was not well thought out.
What I'd really like is great gears for the Drag Strip and a gear for the highway. I don't want major mods, I'm a simple '' drop in '' , '' bolt on '' kinda guy.
I want to stay with the Automatic.
THANK YOU for the compliments!!!

Tci has a 6 speed auto but I'm not sure what mods are needed to bolt one in.
It would be cool and would work with your current shifter sorta.

I would look at the Gear Vendors , it bolts on the rear of the 727 & offers OD , you just have to shorten the driveshaft

Gear vendor is what I am considering.  Sounds like a good set up.
Can't find any posts on someone who has broken one.
