Steering column bolts at firewall
« on: January 31, 2012 - 08:23:21 PM »
Hello all,

I have 3 large holes at the foor area of the firewall where the bottom bracket of the steering colum olts up. Does anyone have a pic of the bolts and nuts? do they have really big washers? I'm guessing the holes are big so there is adjustment?

Cool! but what does it screw into? I just have 3 large holes. IS there a nut with a large washer?

Nope. They're just bolts with large captured washers. No Nuts.

They should just screw into the holes in the firewall...

Take a look at 67vertman's firewall pic, second post down. Scrool right, it shows the column's location and "nuts".

you should have 3 weld nuts fixed to the fire wall, if not you will have to add or improvise.
