I realize the catch is no title. But he says he has documented paperwork of a sheriff running the VIN and confirming it not stolen. Is that good enough? Last thing I want to do is buy a car thats been jacked off somebody else...

Maybe thats why its so cheap. But if he stole it, who would have the balls to let the sheriff run a VIN on it. I'm torn, It looks like a great car and a great deal. Looks like the project I've been waiting on, I'm just scared to have the whole title thing blow up in my face... Any thoughts? Any way I could track down where the car came from and how he got it? Looking for some security before I buy... :pullinghair:

I'd ask the seller for the name of the officer and contact him to confirm the story. I'd also want something on police departmental letterhead to that effect. If you get the cop to cop (sorry) to it and the paper works out and the car is what you're looking for- go for it!
