Hello Newbee From Wappingers Falls NY Greetings
« on: January 29, 2012 - 07:31:42 AM »
Just want to stop off & introduce myself. My name is Dan & I'm a "Die Hard" Mopar lover in the 1st degree. I'm 58 years young today 1-29-12
& everytime I punch the throttle on one of my Dodges or Plymouths I feel 18 again - LOL. *** I'm also the owner of Dream Car Automotive /
Restoration in Poughkeepsie NY since I turned the key in my first shop in 1975. I currently own a 1970 Challenger SE that I transformed into
a RT/SE - I also have a 68 Sport Satellite with a complete 68 GTX driveline - a 64 Belvedere station wagon & I'm in the process of building a
69 Hemi Dart Swinger. Unfortunately one of the above has to go so I can finish financing the Dart. In closing I'd like to say -" HELLO ALL"

Hi Dan, welcome to CC.com, and a big happy birthday to you.  I hope you have plans to enjoy it.  Sounds like you have a few very nice rides!  But we are gonna need photos  :picture:  :grinyes:.

I have a 1970 Challenger SE that is about 95% original.  So I plan to keep it that way.

Take care, and again have a great day!

Hi Dan and Happy Birthday! Sounds like some nice cars and hopefully they'll photo well. Is Wappingers Falls anywhere near the Glen?

Nice meeting a few of the members today & hopefully more will stop by to say hello. I plan on listing one or two cars in the for sale section &
see if I get any bits. I really have my heart set after 2 long years getting the Dart up & running by at least summer - hopefully of this year. I've been very fortunate that the shop wasn't affected by this darn recession like so many others were - but it doesn't leave me much time to work
on personal projects. I'll try & get some pictures up here soon - hell I must have a couple hundred already of the Dart - LOL. I had probably 500 photos of the Challenger during its restoration, but like a big dumby I didn't put them on a disc & when my last hard-drive fried I lost them all. Thanks again for the Birthday Well Wishes - Dan aka 1RT2NV

Welcome Dan & Happy Birthday buddy!

We can understand how one of your Mopars has to go in order to finish another, but let's make sure it's Not the Challenger!

A final thanks to those who stopped by to say hello. To answer the last post, I've decided to sell the 68 Sport Satellite convertible & to my displeasure the 70 Challenger SE. I have my eye on the B-5 Blue 71 Cuda that a buddy of mine has owned since 1975. It's a 340- 4speed with 3.91 Sure-grip & it's pretty close to a survivor - needless to say it not cheap. Both cars will make their new owners extremely happy, especially whoever buy's the Challenger. So watch for it in the near future in the Cars For Sale Section.

Right now the shop is in the middle of two "Brand X" restorations to keep bread on the table. I'm doing a Grabber Blue 429CJ Ram-Air Mach1 for a customer in California & a 70 Yenko Deuce Tribute for myself to resell. Owning a restoration shop that employ's only one man - ME - things don't move along as fast as I would like, so to survive during the down time between job deposit & final payment you have be creative.
So if you have any brand X buddies looking for a new ride, please feel free to send them my way. Besides the above mention 70 Deuce, I also
have a 70 SS396 & a 71 GTO for sale.

Thanks again & to all - please have a great day. Dan aka 1RT2NV
