Need Photoshopper please!
« on: January 31, 2012 - 06:46:16 PM »
Its a long story but I have a new toy which is an 89 Saleen Coupe of which only 59 were ever produced. The car was in the hands of a guy who had no idea what it was hence it was turned into an SCCA track car and had a color change. So far I have gotten the car put back together and have tracked down most all the important cosmetic pieces that make a Saleen what it is. The last step is to do a complete refinish back to its original color(s) which is black with gold stripes. The wheels are also supposed to have the center part gold as well (although these are not the original wheels) so if anyone can help me I want to see what the car would look like with:

1) Black with gold stripes and the wheel centers (spokes) gold or

2) Black with gold stripes and the wheel centers black or lastly,

3) Black with gold stripes and the wheels as they are now.

I know this is a tall order but this would be hugely appreciated!!! :2thumbs:

I have no photoshop skills but check some of these pictures out I found... not a mustang guy, but looks like it might be the color combo your talking about... one of the pictures has the gold in the center of the wheels so that might give you an idea too

Thanks for the responce! I would still like to see my car done up. Being a coupe throws a slight curve plus I have not seen many black Saleens with the 9 bar stripes (the one pictured has a 3 bar stripe). Funny thing is that I have seen tons of pics of Saleens but have not come across these. The first one has correct DP5 wheels but is way incorrect with the "SALEEN" on the door. The second is close to correct other than the chrome Cobra R wheels (popular with Fox Body Mustangs) but who ever put on the Racecraft stickers on the fender must have been on crack!! Thanks for the pics!

Yeah maybe someone who's good at photoshop can use the wheels, stripes, etc on those I posted to give you what you want! I say go for the original look! With younger people like me growing up these cars are only going to climb in value! They were the only muscle car around for the longest time!
