No real name for my car. I have always just said "the cuda".  But i do make my wife bow to her on occasion when we pass through the garage  :roflsmiley: This always makes us laugh

My ex once said to me "You love that car more than me." I was trying to think fast and not lie, so I said "Maybe as much as you." Looking back on it, I definitely love the car more than her

Another reason my boss hung the title Skunk works on my shop was my association with aircraft.  I am a volunteer at the Olympic Flight Museum in Olympia and have assisted with the maintenance and care of most of the planes.  A few years ago we replaced the Packard Merlin with a Rolls Merlin and essentially restored the whole plane.  Just about every piece that would fit in my 6 foot bead blast cabinet was prepared for refinishing.  The A-10 Wort Hog shown was at our air show last year and became disabled due to a severe maneuver and had to stay in our hanger till a repair crew come from California to prepare it to fly back home. When I got this Challenger my son was about 4 years old, and for whatever reason he said it looked like a magic car. That name stuck and I use that as my screen name for most of the sites I belong to. I used to have a Ford Ranchero, that my daughter called the Bad Car, (and it was bad).   :eek4:

That had to be a really bone-headed move to injure the A-10, that's a pretty tough airplane.
The Merlin looks beautiful, nicely done. Hamilton props?

Yeah, good looking restore!

That Warthog is an absolutely awesome aircraft!

That's about the last thing I would want to see on the horizon during a battle.

The Wort Hog was demonstrating a ground attack maneuver when a large section of top wing surface departed the aircraft. Since that section of "skin" was actually faring that covered the flap it presented no immediate threat to the flying integrity of the plane.  The section was about 20 x 60 inches that popped off just as the craft pulled up from a rather fast and steep dive on target.  The plane and pilot had recently returned from Afghanistan so it probably was suffering from battle stress.  There were two Wart Hogs working in tandem for the demonstration, taking turns on the target. There was maybe 10 seconds between the attacks, giving the enemy little time to recover from one strike before the next one hit. Neither pilot or their ground crews had ever heard of a Wort Hog loosing a wing section like that. It was quite a show.

In my mind few things have been, nor ever will be cooler than my car. Therefore, she will always be known as "The Cuda". Keeps things simple.
