Hi, do any of you have this same problem?
I have a 4 speed and it needs to be at a complete stop for me to be able to engage first gear.
Any ideas what's wrong?

You can try giving it a wee blip of the throttle as you hold a slight amount of pressure on the handle, but the man's right. Tactransman- Terry, on this site, is a transmission re-builder and could probably help you.

................ or clutch disc not fully releasing. Does it crunch a little going into reverse when the gearbox is fully warmed up?

Just curious, I wonder if changing the tranny fluid/oil would temporarily help?
