I have a few more pics eventually.
God sure has made some beautiful country out here!

Jeet Kun Do is a great philosophy and practice.
I have read every book I can get my hands on.
Unfortunately, up here in the mountains there is no where that I can practice with a master.

Congrats!  You're a man's man.  (I can say that with all security!) :)

This is a watered down pussy world we live in, it's good to know there's real men out there doing real stuff.  Having no sidearm just makes it that much better for me.  Thanks for sharing brother!

Just be careful when you do it!! I watch the shows I survived and I shoudn,t be alive. There are many cases of hikers, hunters, who go alone, get hurt and spend weeks to a month with rotting wounds, no cell service, animal attacks. I am sure you put it in the back of your mind and prepare already. Just would stink to not have you posting all those great finds anymore. Be alert and stay prepared. Take a med kit. at least a 2 qrt water bottle. Let people know where you are going and map of your scouted route area.

Thanks Dawerks!  No gun back up is where the adrenaline is!!
I truelly wanted a challenge out of a hunt, and I got it!

Gran, I usually pull up a birds eye view map so there is an actual picture left on my computer that shows the basic area that I am going.
Of course, with a lion you can get pretty far off course over the period of a day.
Usually have a med kit with me.  My biggest problem is carrying water.  Seems I never have enough.
Luckily there is snow for a good portion of the year.

Just thought I would share with my friends here.
I spot and stalked her for about 3 miles.
Got to 17 yards and gave here a lung shot with my PSE Bow Madness.
She was on the ground.
I hunt with no dogs for tracking.
No gun on my side for protection.
Just keep a healthy knife by my side.
So, she treed herself, I had to get up there and get her out.
When I grabbed ahold of her to drop her out of the tree she was still alive and growled at me! While I held her!
Needless to say, I flew like superman out of that tree!
Most exciting thing I have ever done.

Very cool bro!   :2thumbs:

Maybe you can cover / conceal prestaged hydro along your route. It is hard to stay sneaky with water sloshin around. Camelbacks work pretty good.
