I noticed that the 4th of July falls on a Wednesday and the show is the 6th which is Friday.  I think a lot of people will call that weekend the 4th of July weekend and have to spend time with family!   I will probably get some sh!t for going to a car show that weekend cause we typically will go to the lake somewhere.   I always assumed that the show was the second weekend in July . . . . 

Poor planning on Carlisle production's part I think . . . .

No. It's been like that in previous years too. That's why we had to put up with a girls softball team stealing all the food at the continental breakfast when we stayed at the Low-Quality-Inn.

Yeah I was really surprised by that when I was talking to hotels - that is a terrible weekend to pick.  I hope it doesn't drastically impact this year - both for the club and the show in general!

Fireworks in the hotel parking lot...?  We can make that happen...  ;-)  Actually reminds me of when we'd go to the fairgrounds to watch fireworks on the 4th.
