No pictures, but I have done it several times on different cars. All in black which makes it easy. Didn't know about vinegar, just boiled them and rinsed them out afterwards really well. Never had a problem fading or the dye coming off on clothing. My 1970 Z car I still have and they have been dyed for over 15 years now. From a safety standpoint you always need to consider rewebbing with nice fresh belts instead of relying on 40 year old safety items.
Thanks Greg!
Always wondered how successful re-dyes work.
Incidentally, I also had a 240 that I sold to buy the Challenger project I have now.
Fun car, but she sure did get me into a lot of trouble.
I'll give the dye a shot.
I'll need to procure a throwaway pot in which to boil my belts in.
Curious- what size pot did you use?
Best,
Dan
