Hi everyone
I just bought a 1971 Challenger from USA, (I,M Canadian). The car is now home, but when I went to have it transfer officially in my name, they told me they need the GVW to complete the task. Sure enough, we looked at the US title, (from Georgia), and the GVW space is empty. They told me I have two possibilities: 1) Have the car on a car scale and go back to them with the paper. Problem is now, the car is partially apart as I started a restoation... Option no. 2 is: Have a paper from the manufacturer that confirms the GVW. My question is: Is there anybody out there that might have some kind of Mopar proof of the GVW for a 1971 Challenger? ( a brochure for example) I know some of you will say that 70-71-72-73-74 is all the same structure, but the lady told me they NEED to see 1971. I know that the same car will have a different GWV with a hemi, then with a 318. But if I can find some kind of information that will say ''1971 Challenger R/T hardtop GWV'', I' d be more than happy with that! I have a little orange book here for 1971 Dodge codes & options and the curb weight is written, but just above it, it says: ''Approx, not for licensing''... Any help would be appreciated
Thanks!
Robert
