"In Time" - another Challenger in a movie?
« on: October 02, 2011 - 08:36:49 PM »
Just saw a trailer for an upcoming movie called "in Time." Hard to tell, but it looked to have a Challenger with a heavily customized grille and tail panel in it. Also hard to tell if it was real or CGI, but things didn't look too good for the Challenger.

Yep, that's it. That fact that it's in one piece in the pic leads me to believe that it's death was CGI, then.

Hi guys, did you guys ever see this movie?  I just finished watching it, got it from the local library.

Turns out there is a squad of these Challenger "police" cars.  Not Vanishing Point by any means but there are a couple scenes with these cars.  Good movie, IMO.

The Lincoln limos are pretty cool too.

I saw it, there were several scenes involving them.  Interesting to note that the front grill has sequential lights behind it, as that is how the cop car "lights and sirens" are done.

Ok, now I'm thinking...they usually sell the movie cars.  I wonder if they sold any of them.  Would imagine they must've.  There were several in that movie.  Never counted but I would think maybe 4-5?  :clueless:

They actually looked like they handled very well, which made me think they had modded suspension.

I'm glad they didn't make the Time Keeper's Challenger go throught the tollbooth looking thing like the Lincoln did.

They had at least 4 of them painted the same.  In several of the shots you would only see the rear of some challengers so they might not have put grills on them all.  It's also possible they CGI'd a few of them.

I actually think the tube grill like that makes it look more like a 68/70 charger with the headlights hidden.

I did notice the time keeper's car also had a white pistol grip shifter that looked kinda odd.

Yeah, sort of a Robin Hood movie.

Yeah, sad when his mom died.  And yes, she was very attractive.  Friggin' bus driver!!!  :swear:

Why is it they can make a movie like this with only f word?
They are far and in between,  Maybe that is reason box office attendance is down with all the foul language.

It was an ok movie that surprised me without foul language.
Maybe Justin Timberlake has good morals and concerned with the morals of out teenagers.
the widescreen made the challengers look  bad azz wide stance?

IMO, I think it's good that they can make a movie without the profanity.  As a father, I can show it to my kids without then hearing it.

BTW, hpe600rt, thanks for pointing out the movie Born to Race.  Looks like the DVD just came out Feb. 28.  Looks like sort of the premise of Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift but no Tokyo, just somewhere in California maybe.  Lots of car action which is good.  SAw what could be a Lil Red Express truck witha big hood scoop.  Did see a Challenger in the background.
