Bolt Sizes and Lengths

Hey guys,

I'm need to get some bolts and I am finding various lengths from Summitt and Jegs, etc.  Can someone help me with the correct dimensions and if they are fine or course thread?

I am going to use stainless for all of these.  Does anyone see why I shouldn't?  Just want to avoid rusting.

1 - Harmonic Balancer Main Bolt - I know it's      3/4-16" X ???        I've found 4 different lengths.

2 - The Harmonic Balancer Bolts holding on the pulley

3 - the 6 Motor Mount Bolts For A 340 small block

Stainless has a lower tensile strength than regular bolts. At least that's what I read in a stainless steel bolt catalog I have. The catalog is several years old, so maybe they have come up with newer better alloys by now. For high strength applications, I would tend to use what the manufacturer used or better. I wouldn't use any Chinese crapola. I bought a grinder stand from sears, and had to replace every fastener with American made bolts. The bolts that came with it were so bad that the head wasn't even centered with the bolt shank! YIKES! They broke like soft butter when you tried to tighten them. Same thing on an engine stand, same thing on my cherry picker, etc... Maybe see what ARP offers. Motor mounts, i'd be iffy and very careful about what you put in. Fastnal has a good selection, if you have one near you - but they sell Chinese stuff also.

I can get those lengths for you tonight if no one else lets you know by then.   I just got done refinishing these bolts but want to look in the fastener guide to get you the correct lengths. 

I don't think there is any reason to spend the money on stainless.  The main crank bolt gets painted engine color.  The motor mount to engine block bolts are zinc plated.(some were phosphate)  The crank pulley bolts are phosphate.  The finishes should last a long time.  I doubt your going to be driving the car on salty roads any time soon.  For a weekend cruiser that is used only in good weather, the stock finishes should last a long time.

damper pulley to damper bolts...
(6) 5/16-18 x .68"  phosphate finish grade 5
Two head markings have been found.
1. An "L" with a large "G" around it.
2. I S C in three points around the circumference

damper to crankshaft bolt 3/4-16 x 2.25" (SB) phosphate prior to paint

SB motor mount to engine fasteners
(6) 7/16-20 x 1.50" zinc finish grade 5...some have been found phosphated
head markings... a D or an M in the center
