My friends had a car just like that in high school.  Basically it is my dream car.  It was one hell of a car in those days.  Definately few cars that could stay with it.  At one point it was so well know in our state that a state trooper pulled him over and asked to race him.   He said if anyone saw them (late at night eastern washington) that if he was in front keep on going.  That car could cruise all day at 150 mph and inside felt like you were doing 50.  I'd love to have a car like that in my garage.   Instead luck sent me a 70 convertible.  Although I dream of one day having a car that I can drive in the rain.  Living in the pacific northwest.  I know you'll definately have some memorable memories owning a car like that.    :droolingbounce:

Welcome to our club, beautiful car, with one caveat, and its MHO about all black cars, when the sun is out these cars soak up the ray's heat

thanks everybody  I have a ton of memories with the car from when my dad and I were restoring it to driving it around. Back in the early 80s this car was very well known thanks to my dad. I've basically followed in his footsteps but thankfully not as bad cause we all know that the law is not as forgiving now as it used to be. Also this is a non a/c car so that coupled with 440 and black paint can make for some hot times in the summer.
