I have the heater/AC vacuum lines hooked up, and have no visual reference for how /what the lines draw vacuum from.
anyone have a pic of what it's supposed to look like/connect to?

The line that goes through the hol in the firewall is routed to the vacuume push button switch on the dash.
The other end is connected to a vacuumed port on the intake manifold on the motor.
From the switch the lines go back to all the vacuume pods.

But I think you know that part, are you wanting to know what lines go to what port?

Thanks Scott, I just don't know wherethe vacuum hose goes out the firewall.
I spoke to steve today, and he mentioned I should have a bung off the intake manifold that comes off the intake manifold..
the key here being should...because I don't..

Just tryin to get it right..

hej.the small vacuum hose enters the engine bay through a rubber grommet(if the grommet have 2 holes then also the cable for the water valve goes through it) ,the grommet mounts to the firewall with 3 screws,so look at your firewall where chryco said,for a bigger hole with 3 screw holes around it.

. ok,then on my 70 383 4sp the tiny hose connects at a tee behind the carb,where 1 hose goes to the pod stuff on the dual snorkel air cleaner,and the ac tiny whiny hose connects at the passengerside rear of the carb base plate.its just a pipe in the base plate,just like a distributor vacuum connection in the base plate.i guess you can connect it anywhere as long as it gets full vacuum.if you dont have a chrysler/correct carb then maybe drill a hole in a spacer plate an put a fitting in it for the vacuum hose.

The firewall picture is extremely informative.

I do have a few other dumb questions.
1. What diameter tubing comes out of the firewall to meet the vacuum port?
(the diameter tube coming off the vacuum "pots" is 1/4". Is this correct?
What is the overall length of the vacuum hose?
2. What does the HVAC vacuum tube grommet look like?
3.I have, or am supposed to have a manual footpump washer system.
I see a footpump hole in the firewall. What does a manual footpump system look like?
4.What does the footpump grommet look like?

You can get the vacuum for the AC from the manifold if the tap for the power brakes (I'm assuming you have power brakes if you have AC) has a little nipple like show in the first picture. You can also tap off of the power brake booster if you have a plastic plug with the small nipple like in the second picture (our's is capped off). Nice link, and very informative thread. I guess I missed that lil guy in my HVAC resto.

So here's what I have so far:
This is the grommet for the HVAC Vacuum tube.

It clearly shows the proper vacuum hose scale, however, the nipple port on the Power Brake Booster is 1/4", and the nipple port ont the vacuum pot is also 1/4"

Here is the vacuum pot setup "original" to my car

Right now, I have my Heater cable coming through this foot pump hole with a grommet of unknown origin.
I am also running my Oil pressure line through the same grommet

I see an option to run a vacuum nipple here:

And through the firewall in the "correct" location

If you look at the pics of my engine bay when I recieved the car, you will notice that the vacuum line was in fact on the Power Brake Booster.

It really doesn't matter where I hook up to get vacuum, however, I would like to know if it is OK to run the 1/4" vacuum line, or if I need to reduce it.

I have a new engine bay harness. What does the "blue" Compressor wire hook up to?
Does it hook up to the brown wire?
