Wedding present
« on: July 07, 2011 - 06:06:47 PM »
A friend and I were at a car show last year.  He owns a beautiful F50 pickup with a 460 inside.  I kept telling him that my Cuda would beat him in a run.  So as the car show goes on we keep being cocky to one another.  As we are leaving the car show he is in front of me and I punch it.  He tries to keep up, but I lose him.  Eventually I am so far in front of him that I can no longer see him in the rear view mirror.  FYI, we are on a long, straight, desolate road without any cars around.  He then calls my friend in the car with me while I am still crusin' @ 100mph or so.  He yells "Pull Over! There is a cop coming after you!"  So I hook it onto a side road and then another.  He told me that the cop tried to follow me, but I was too far ahead of him when I turned.  So, a few weeks later we are sitting at the bar in the town this all happened and a guy was talking about the car that ran from him (He was the cop).  He went on to say it was a green muscle car and where it happened.  My friend with the F50 got drunk enough to tell the cop who was chasing me that I was the one driving.  The cop couldn't do anything about it, but I told my buddy I would get him back...

Well fast forward a year.  My friend invited me to his wedding, so 15 minutes before the ceremony started I did this in his driveway.  I put this picture in a get well soon card and and gave it to him as his wedding present from me.  He said it was the best wedding present he received.

Great story.  I love it when fast cars get away from the cops.  Especially Lime Green Mopars!  Nice car by the way.  Your friend sounds like a dumbass.  I'm glad you got him back and in such a gear head fashion!!!

The only thing better, would have been stealing his truck, doing the burnout in the COPS driveway and sending him THAT photo! I'd watch myself in that cop's town, he'll be lookin'!

They do indeed. When and wear I grew up, they'd think nothing of taking the nightstick to the car if you embarrassed them, or, if you really embarrassed them, taking the nightstick to you. And yeah, I received both. On the plus side, it made me a better driver.
