Back spacing question
« on: January 31, 2005 - 12:41:08 PM »
Ifi run a 17x9 with a 5 inch BS in the back and a  17x8 with a 4 1/2 inch BS in the front and 275 40 17 in the rear and 255 in the front will I run into problems because of the BS difference?

If I remember correctly mine is 7,5" * 15" in front w/ 245/60-15... backspacing is 3 3/4?!? don't remember that... but 255 should be quite close to fit.. I guess you run some 255/45-50 profile which is way smaller diameter tire than 245/60, or close-by...
Again, try and fit if you can

275/40 17 9 inch rim sec width says 10.9 on a 9.5 inch rim backspacing is 5 inches. will that fit on the rear with no mods? the fronts are 255/45 17 8 inch rim sec width says 10 on an 8.5 inch rim backspacing is 4.5 inches. will that fit on the front with no mods?

Rear should go with no pain, throw it in style....

front Ya 255/45/17 Overall Diameter: 26.03 in 661.16 mm , 245/60/15 Overall Diameter: 26.57 in 674.87 mm  i.e. with correct backspacing it should go as well... can't say what is correct, i'm running ,as I recall 3 3/4" with 7,5" rim and 245 as above....
