The double arm wiper mounts on the driver side.  the single mounts on pass side,

There should be a pin on the plate for the small double arm to mount it to.

all i have are nubs sticking out of the car, and the small arm just has a hole at the end with nothing attached to it

and then the question is, once they attatch to the car, what the heck kind of wiper blade is that? can i even buy those local? ive never seen one like that

the drivers side pivot will have a small second pin on it & there is a special clip to retain it , the wiper blades have to be very low profile , , I think tridon or trico have a classic series , any of the new blade will not clear the hood , often you can just buy replacement rubber strips instead of replacing the frame .

No pics, but if you hold the driver side arm up to where the nub you have sticking out that attatches to the thick main arm, and swing the thin secondary arm towards that nub (secondary arm goes to the bottom), you should see a small post that protrudes a bit where the secondary arm will mount. It's very small. Just big enough to fit in the secondary arm hole. You must use a clip to secure the secondary arm in place. Most people use a small "c" clip. But original clips are available from places like RT SPECIALTIES. Tip before you install, COVER all painted areas, like the cowl to prevent scratching : 1: make sure wipers are in fully closed position with the switch. 2: put a dab of wheel bearing grease (don't go crazy) around the nub, and maybe take a q-tip and do the same on the inside of wiper arm hole to make installing and removing easier 3: position wiper arm over nub and BEFORE you insert, make sure secondary arm is close or is latched onto it's nub MAKE SURE THE SLIDE LOCK FOR THE BIG ARM IS PUSHED OUT INTO THE OPEN POSITION 4: make sure wiper arm is in rest or fully closed position against the stop on the stainless  trim piece 5: put a cloth or protective tape on arm and gently. GENTLY tap down with a rubber mallet GENTLY. 6: make sure secondary arm is engaged in it's own little nub. 7: install clip on secondary arm nub. PUSH IN SLIDE LOCK ON MAIN ARM. 7: test wipers. Pass side will just pop on like a normal car. Don't test without installing pass side and thereby scratching your windshield. Refills should be available at your local auto parts store. DO NOT REPLACE the entire arm assy for the refill! ONLY replace the rubber blade itself. Many aftermarket "complete" refills will not clear your hood. ONLY REPLACE THE RUBBER WIPER! Do not replace anything EXCEPT the rubber part. Or else you will be buying hard to find e body parts. Passenger side has no extra arm on it. Hope this helps.
