Power window switches

Does any one know where the the switches suppose to clip on? Is there another piece needed on the door panel?
I put power windows in from XV but did not like the plastic switches they sent witch were to small anyway for my door panels
So i found some original switches and trying to make them work but they look like they should snap onto something els.

There is a metal piece that goes on the panels.  They are square shaped and the switchs lock into them once you've wired them.  I'm not sure if the switch's or inserts are available anywhere.  I'm pretty sure you'll have to buy the inserts from someone and I'm thinking they won't be cheap.  About ten years ago you could buy the switch's and they cost about $150 for the full set.  I think they will be difficult to find similar to front fenders were about 15 years ago.  I'm sure someone in this forum can give you leads to a set and what the current price would be.

  Wow, I never would have thought it would be less than a couple of hundred dollars.  It seems like the least I pay for a part these days is a couple of hundred dollars for anything.  Quite a find and I wonder what other parts I thought were unobtainable are available.
