I was referring to the  high school rat rods of the day when kids would swap 454 work truck big blocks into their cars without so much as an aftermarket intake150-200 to the wheels wasn't all  that uncommon on budget builds. Dunno about you, but not many people I know could afford true HP block cars..

Thanks For replying the correct way here. Don't really know whay the Keyboard cowboys seem to have come out gunning for me here, buit means no nevermind to me, as it's mind over matter IMO...I don't mind and they don't matter"...

I understand what you mean, I was just diggin' at ya. And I had what should have been a "Dump truck" engine in my '69 Chevelle, and it was running with cars it never shoulda set foot in the street against.

No, the point I was trying to make is a BBC will make power even the LC turd ones. I know VERY few that install one without at least upping the HP and torque to around 600 HP. they tend to like N2O for some reason.

So by me saying "Most every one I"VE SEEN" you imply i either one haven't seen 'em or they are ALL i've seen correct?

Sonny Leonard. Anytime you wish to try him out, lemme know....

Chill out....

We all know a friend of a friend of a friend with a fast car. Never heard of Sonny and I don't care if I ever do or not. You need to relax a little..  You seem to want to poke at people on here whenever you want to, but if someone gives you a little razzing in return you get all wound up.  See my example below.  Life is short........

Look, NOWHERE in my post was I so condecending that I caused a whole GROUP of people to jump in..You did. Simple as that...You stir someone up, at least understand when they fire back..If not, don't talk sh*t that You wouldn't in person. Simple...You know if someone set out to do what was done here to me, in Person, you'd have more problems on your hands than a simple "post problem"...

I am going to take your last sentence that if I razzed you in person you would try to take it to another level and are threatening me. Take a couple of weeks off and re-think your purpose here.  See ya......

One thing to remember, Cooter, is that people reading an online post can't tell if you're joking or getting pissed.

Yeah, you can blow me too pal. :poopoke: Anytime you want to test my theory, just come on down to Lynchburg and Sonny Leonard will show you a BBC....900 C.I. of 2000 HP STREET driven, PUMP GAS Chevy Big Block.

...and it still has that little bowtie on it, automatically making it 50% less cool than a Mopar engine.

I agree that burnouts are fun. I enjoy them as much as the next person. As for displaying the true power output of the car, I don't think so. I have seen pretty much stock cars that can do awesome burnouts with 350-400 hp. Tire size, rear gears, tire stickiness, converter used........  Lots of variables.
Here is an old vid of the Beast doing a burnout in front of our shop. My car doesn't do the burnouts until about 2-1/2 minutes into it. Not my vid, so I can't edit it. 18" slicks and dry pavement don't work real well for burnouts, but when you add a little water.....  :ylsuper: - I got it in 3rd gear and let it eat...... :grinyes:   :burnout:
