AAR paint on inner fenders was it black or body color?

I`m trying to figure out which way was correct from the factory. The black paint on the tops of the fenders on the AAR did it go down inside the engine bay area or was this area painted body color? Or were either way correct? The red arrow in photo is where I am asking about down to the bolt heads on inner fender. I believe the top of the cowl area where the intake vents are was black please correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, that part was black.  There would also have been a tape line visable either along the fenders or at the rad support.  There's an old restoration thread on this site of a B5 blue AAR that has some really good pics of the tape line.  I'd do a search for it.
