I'm confused. Some say yes, some say no.

I have a 71 Challenger that I'm installing a built up 340. I have the MSD Pro Billet distributor and the 6AL ignition box.

My understanding was that with this electronic ignition I will no longer need the ballist resistor. Can some one help me and a wiring diagram would be very helpful.

The last article I read by Richard Erenberg said I need the resistor.

I've had a MSD6AL in mine for 3 years now without it. Look on the MSD web site for the drawing?
