72 black tail panel paint and v21 hood paint
« on: April 16, 2012 - 03:33:38 PM »
i need to put the black back on the car, im not worried about putting the exact mopar paint on, since the car was painted viper red and its already not original.

its going to get its v21 tagged hood treatment, rear tail-light panel, and wing blacked out.

just wondering if i should go gloss, semi-gloss, or satin? id like to stay away from flat, its too hard to keep clean.

what do you guys think?

nice cuda... :2thumbs:
I personally would go with gloss black on the rear tail light panel.  Look at mine, it's glossed out, maybe that will help you make a decision.

This isn't easy.   :pullinghair:

Since the car seems to shine so much, maybe satin black would be a nice change up on it all?   :bigshades:

You can get organisol in spray cans from Totally Auto.  I wouldn't try using that on the hood though.  It should work OK for the tail panel.

Check out this link.  It's a restoration thread on Moparts of a V21 equiped 72.  He found a modern paint that closely matched the original organisol.  He thinks it should be easier to keep clean too.
