New Challenger gas cap on old Challenger

Has anybody tried this? I like the flush look that still mimics the old design.

Good idea, but the new Challenger flip top cap is larger in diameter than the old.

I'm full of great ideas that don't necessarily work

I liked the idea though. Maybe someone willing to modify their rear panel some could pull it off.

I bought one and was going to use it but it looks too big and the curve of the body is way out. The quarter panel would need to really be worked to make it fit right.

I had noticed the different curves in the quarter. If it wasn't for the different size, I'd say a different trim ring could be made to account for the curve.

the biggest issue I see with this is that the cap is on the opposite side of the car so the hinge would be at the rear or fuel would be upside down

And that is a great point.
