I'm going with PlastiKote Chrysler blue for my 318.  I compaired it to some original paint on the front side of the torque conv.  The original paint is just a hair lighter.  I'm assuming it has faded a little with all the heat cycles.

Just to throw out another option. I went with the POR-15 brush on paint.

It takes two coats, and you definitely don't want to get this on your skin or finger nails.   :22yikes:  It takes days of looking foolish before it wears off.

I'm guessing that the POR engine paint is a lot like the other POR products. If you use it, make sure you use the etching prep they sell on the bare metal first, else it won't stick worth  :poopoke:

I had to degrease the engine first. Then there was some alkaline solution I had to spray on(You maybe right in that they called it a prep). Then paint. It's been on there for 6 years now, so I guess I did something right... Besides getting paint on my hands.   :bricks1:  Seriously, wear latex gloves at ALL times!

if you want the right stuff, you can buy from Roger Gibson.
He has it listed on his parts PDF.
Comes in a pint can - it is lead based enamel I think.  Needs to be thinned out before spraying.

click on the products button and download the PDF.

I think you need to contact Frank Badalson  @ 804.275.2155    to make the purchase.
