Bone head Move Now No Flow Control Valve
« on: April 28, 2012 - 08:27:10 AM »
Hey,

Bought a reman. power steering box. Having no idea I sent my core back and left the flow control valve on it. Obviously its long gone. Is this something I can get from the wreckers? I have a 72 Challenger with a Saginaw pump. Wondering what car and what years would work with my box.

Thanks,
Brian

You may find one at the wreckers the valve on the steering box is the same on most years up to the Diplomats in the mid 80s I believe , if it has a plate & snap ring at the bottom of the box it is the GM saginaw box , is should have the cast bottom .

Thanks Neil,

I may have a lead on one but if not I may have to hit the yards. Oh well live and learn.

Glad you got one! Ya sounds like fun! Are you going again too? Is there a link to it with directions ( address for the GPS?) I might be in the middle of a drivetrain swap by then but we'll see?
