340 Stroker assembly
« on: April 23, 2012 - 10:37:02 AM »
Im going to be getting a rotating assembly for my 340. Anyone know a good place to purchase one with a forged crank, forged dished pistons, and rods?

There are several places that will sell you what you want but I went with Muscle Motors Racing in Michigan when I built my 340 stroker.  They balanced it and provided the bearings and rings as well.

For the most part, I've only heard good things.  If you plan on doing this build yourself, you may want to have someone knowledgeable look over you.

Brad seems to have had a couple issues that he points out in this thread:

I purchased everything from M.M. in 2010.  When everything arrived it was packaged very well.  I had no problems at all.

Bent rods are rare and they will usually show their faces with an unusual wear pattern on the bearings. ie wear on opposite sides of the halves.
