The drive can be positioned anywhere by changing the position where the teeth mesh & the dist can mesh in 2 positions once the drive is in position . It really doesnt matter where the rotor is pointed , if you are TDC #1 I generally point the rotor to the back that way 8 Sits along the valve cover & 4&6 are on the right side of the dist & only #3 & #@ have to cross over the dist cap
