How hot power steering fluid?

Just wondering how hot power steering lines should get. I think I finally cured my steering by itself problem but the lines seem to get extremely hot and just wondering whats normal.

interesting...never noticed the lines getting hot, but...mine is equipped with the cooler.

pwr streering fluid does get very hot. Alot of cars had coolers in the lines.

 :iagree: Mine were very hot to with the header being so close to the steering box ,so I added a cooler. Worked great! :2thumbs:

Make sure you plumb it into the return for the pump (not the pump output).
