Spring locating pin
« on: June 16, 2012 - 07:03:51 AM »
The locating hole on my new spring perches is about 1/8" larger in diameter than the locating pin/bolt in my springs. I centered the spring pin in the hole and tightened up the u-bolts. Would it be any cause for concern? Should I make up a small bushing to fill the gap or is it something not to worry about?
Just fyi, the spring locating hole in the perches sold through Mopar are larger than the originals.

I would slide it as far forward as possible as you tighten it down to keep the diff square in the car or making a bushing would be a good idea or the car could dog track .

I've had this issue before and resolved it by placing a bushing over the pin and tacking it in place with a welder. Got the bushings from the hardware store.
