Transporting car?

I recently purchased a 16 foot car trailer, as me and my son are taking his Jeep to the Rubicon next month, and thought I might use it for my Challenger for longer distance travelling. It's not a dove tail trailer, so the back end height has me a little concerned about getting up on it. It's approximately 20 inches from ground to deck of trailer. Is it doable without a Dove tail trailer? Also my frame tie down brackets were used for dual exhaust hangers, so do I wrap around axle? How about the front end what do I hook to there. Car is stock height with 14 inch tires.

Last question, chain and binders, or straps.

A floor jack under the tongue, while its hooked to the jeep will give you the slope you want. 6 foot ramps are about the standard on trailers. Sometimes 5 ft. Or an 8 inch block under the jack. Strap around the axle then a binder in back, and a strap around the K frame and a binder. Tricky part is getting in and out the drivers door with the window rolled up. You may need the floor jack to raise the car up to get in and out. Or a block of wood under the tires for clearance.

What size chain should I use, I see grade 70, 5/16 and 3/8. Is 3/8 inch overkill, or is it worth the extra dough. Thanks

I would use nylon ratchets, but when useing chain, I use 3/8ths  when I need a chain
