ok ---

need HELP>....

The MC I have is for power DB.  It has the small "curved" front resv.  and the large rear resv.
Which rev.  goes to what part of the braking system (frnt disc, rear drums)?

Also - does anyone have a really good picture showing the correct routing at the MC and the brass prop. valve block?

The situation I have is the following.
1. master bench bled 100%
2.  will not allow any fluid to the rear brakes., fluid leaves the MC-but no further.  all new calipers.
front brakes bled out, no rotor drag on DVR side, some rotor drag on PASS side.
3. the blockage is so bad, it gets a damn rock hard pedal.

I just want to be sure I have the correct resv.  plumbed to the right port on the brass block (one with brake light switch).

Also - the pin on thge prop. valve seems to be all the way out .  it will spin, but I can't get it to push in or move any further out.

HELP is so needed...    :banghead:

front to rear , rear to front always , the reservoir closest to the firewall is usually larger & always feed the front brakes .
Sounds like there is a blockage in the proportioning valve or pinched line in the rear system for sure , sometimes the rear rubber hose will fail internally with no external sign & block flow in or out , is ther no fluid coming out of the prop valve to the rear ?

im going to break the rear line @ the prop valve tomorrow and check.

If fluid is there, then the rear hose would be the culprit.  I cracked a line @ the tee on the dana, it's dry.

I have the lines @ the master backwards I guess, right now the front resv. (small one) feeds the disks, large resv.(by front booster) feeds the rear drums.

I will switch them around before I start the other checks.
Thanks for the feedback-
Bill

The innards of the prop valve are metal so if you need to you can pull the whole thing off, soak it in Evapo rust, blast some compressed air into it and then clean it with mineral spirits.  That might free it up if it just got stuck

well I figured it out...

I was the culprit...   DUH....

I had the DVR front hard line plumbed into the REAR entry port on the brass block. And had the MC feed tube going to the PASS front.

I get the dumbass award for this one!!
It is what I get for not taking a good picture before dissassembling it 4 months ago.
